Count down

A little more than two weeks until I move to Bandung. Trying to learn as much as possible about the culture and the area, school and job. I have been talking to my future housemate, and consequently have learned a lot about that the culture. She has already moved into, what she has described, as a VERY nice 3 bedroom house in a really nice community. Of course anything described like that I am already in love with.
Life seems like a whirl wind with everything that needs to get done, and everyone I need to say goodbye to.  I have been able to
spend a lot of time with friends from home and high school which is nostalgic but comfortingly fun. Also, mom/pops LaPierre and I have been spending lots of quality time together, it feels like I am 15 again, and that is ok sometimes. Kyle is off to college and having fun.
Fortunately the construction job has ended so I have more concentrated time to plan and prepare and pray about everything!

Moving Grooving

Its happening. Ticket to Jakarta was bought last week.  I will be living in Indonesia for 2 years as the business manager of the Network of Intl Christian School in Bandung. ITs crazy and very surreal right now. Leaving in 24 days. For right now I am working pretty much every waking moment, which is fine but tiring.

Its Summer

Its almost august. Things are rediculously different from only a month ago when I was adventuring with Miss Rebecca Gray and Miss Danielle Doubi Hamara Sayegh in sunny alfred. Since that time period I have: rememberd what it is like to be a LaPierre, picked gallons of wild respberries, hiked, biked and many other sun filled anemities of the Catskill mountains and visited with people who i love so much and dont get to see enough. In addition I have begun 2 new jobs, neither which are related to a fine arts degree or a MBA. The most exciting position includes jack hammers, saw-zaws, face masks ahhhhhhhh: I am a masonary laborer, yes baby part of a union. Jennifer Pelham put it best: I am impulsive.
Anyway, I have a very serious change about to take place. I have been offered a business manager position with an organization called Network of international Christian Schools. This job is located in Bandung, Indonesia. What a shock. Third World Coruption? 88% muslim? I am praying constantly for some wisdom with this large decision. Please have me in your prayers and thoughts.
